Tonight we played 37 songs and gained 3.6M points, which is close to an average increase of 100K per song. We ended up only 400K away from our main goal of 100M points.
If it wasn't for the arrival of two new top 10 bands (one whose rank is too good to be true if you look at their Stats page), we would have moved up from 8th to 6th but our final rank was 8th. Nonetheless, we finished ahead of our RB1 rivals the "Killa C,o,m,m,a,s" and "Happy People Playing ROCK BAND".
Highlights:
- A different strategy this time, we played the easiest songs by difficulty and end up getting 6 stars for 35 of 37 songs (only missed getting 6 stars for "Welcome to the Neighbourhood" and "A Jagged Gorgeous Winter")
- We increase our score by at least 300K for two songs ("Conventional Lover" and "New Kid in School")
- Our new benchmark for songs played seems to be around 36 so about 3 hours of play

After singing 37 songs, I felt like I had the mumps... I think we should take breaks more often...!
Heh, yeah, a few breaks for random sets with alternate instruments would be fun.
Plus, we can start doing DLCs when we do that... just to mix it up.
True, but a message to our rivals: don't worry, we'll still be climbing our way up to pass you! :)
Now that Raikan has a PS3, maybe we could try to limit ourselves to 15 songs max on RB night, but then have a few 3-5 online sessions during the week.
First let me find a copy of RB2 so I can play. That's the tricky part right now.
15 songs would mean playing for an hour and fifteen minutes. I think we can do better than that. :)
Our average since starting in April has been about 3 hours per night(usually between 2 and 4 hours). We could still do that but include breaks for DLC to accomodate vocals and drum fatigue.
You're right that whatever we lose for our normal session can be compensated by online play. Since Pheonix has our save game, it will depend mostly on him. I'm available most nights around 11:00, just send me a message.
That may be, but from a vocals perspective, RB1 songs were much easier on the voice that RB2 songs (Rebel Girl anyone?), and I don't think that I can keep on singing 40 songs in one night. Heck professionals don't even sing that much in one show. I'm in no way a professional, and there's only so much my vocal chords can take...
If we can have 1hr to 1h30 hour sessions two times a week, that would be much better than one 3-4 hour session, especially for vocals.
Sounds good. At our normal session, whenever you feel like taking a break, we can do some DLC with whatever instrument.
Then if Phoenix has time, we can do some online sessions during the week.
